Uppal Enterprises is pleased to announce the partnership with local restaurateur, Randy Norman, “When I look to service and successful restaurant operations, I look no further than Mr. Norman. Randy’s values and integrity are perfectly aligned with my own philosophy and my company’s mission. Randy has over 30 years in the restaurant business, twelve of those years spent here in the Twin Cities where he opened The Capital Grille, Bellanotte, Bella, r. Norman's and Seven. His reputation, vast restaurant operations experience, and years of success make him a perfect business partner. We are pleased to be in business with Randy and we look forward to building a concept that will not only fill a niche but provide the best dining experience possible by using the highest quality of ingredients offered at a reasonable price.“ Vik Uppal, co-owner, Uppal Enterprises
Randy is equally as thrilled to be working with Vik Uppal of Uppal Enterprises, “Vik has experienced enormous success as a young entrepreneur, the energy, compassion, and integrity he brings to the partnership are why we are working together. Uppal Enterprises has a long track record of commitment and innovation. It’s exciting to have a new partnership and business venture that has so much promise! This is the perfect opportunity, the perfect partnership and the perfect time to reenter the market. We understand that folks are being selective when spending their discretionary dollars during this economic downturn. We are committed to providing quality and affordability.”
401 First Avenue North
Nate’s had an incredible reputation for doing business in Minneapolis for almost a century and Vik Uppal hopes to continue that standing by revitalizing the corner of 4th Street and 1st Avenue. “401 First Avenue North is truly a gateway to downtown Minneapolis; it’s the first building to greet travelers from interstates 94 and 394. The timing of what’s going on in the warehouse district and the cities’ commitment to revitalizing the area really attracted me to downtown Minneapolis and specifically this building.” During his first walk through Vik fell in love with the building’s character and history. He imagined what the building could be. “The goal is to preserve the building’s character and showcase its unique qualities while developing for the future.” The entire building is being renovated from top to bottom, a massive renovation. All the mechanical, electrical, sprinkler systems will be brand new. "Right now is a challenging time with the current economic climate. Our business model at Uppal Enterprises has always been of long term commitment to our projects. We don’t build and sell. We believe in our products and believe in the value we deliver to the consumer. We believe in being on the cutting edge of innovation and energy management which brings long term value to the consumer.” Vik Uppal looks forward to bring that same level of dedication and commitment to the restaurant business.
